About CasePredictor
CasePredictor is an independent analytics site that turns public USCIS data into interactive forecasts for immigration case timelines. Every chart is sourced from official datasets — we don't store case details, require login, or charge for access.
The problem we solve
USCIS publishes processing times, but the official tool reports a single range per form without historical trend, no visual comparison across forms, and no way to overlay the visa bulletin. Applicants are left checking the tool every month and copying numbers into spreadsheets. CasePredictor consolidates the data into one place, adds context (trends, year-over-year, cohort volume), and produces a grounded prediction window from your receipt date.
Who it's for
- Applicants and their families who want a realistic expectation of when a decision is likely.
- Immigration attorneys setting client expectations and comparing filing strategies.
- HR and mobility teams planning around employment-based timelines (I-129, I-140, EAD renewals).
- Researchers and journalists looking for clean visualizations of USCIS throughput.
What CasePredictor is — and is not
What it is
- • Free, no login, no paywalls in V1
- • Data-driven forecasts from official USCIS and DoS sources
- • Monthly automated refresh pipeline
- • Interactive charts, filters, and URL-shareable views
- • Open about methodology and limitations
What it is not
- • Not legal advice — consult an immigration attorney
- • Not a live case status lookup (use USCIS egov)
- • Not affiliated with USCIS or the US government
- • Not a guarantee — RFEs and policy changes happen
How we differ from the official USCIS tool
- Historical trend— not just today's number, but how it has evolved.
- Cross-form comparisons — compare I-485 vs I-765 timelines, or I-140 vs I-129 side by side.
- Visa bulletin integration — cross-reference priority-date movement with I-485 processing.
- Explainable predictions — every ETA shows the P50/P93 math, the trend, and the cohort volume behind it.
Roadmap
V1 covers the seven most-queried USCIS forms with static, serverless analytics. V2 adds personalization and live data:
- Saved cases — track multiple pending applications in one dashboard.
- Email / push alerts— get notified when your form's processing time changes materially or when your priority date moves.
- Community case reports — optional anonymized timelines from users, layered on top of USCIS aggregates.
- Live case status lookup — integration with the USCIS Case Status API where available.
- More forms — I-526, I-539, I-751, I-589 as data matures.
